A herbal tea blend that eases cramping associated with uterus contractions after birth.
Safe for nursing mothers, Afterbirth Ease Tea is best used directly after child birth and within the first few days following birth to experience the most benefit.
Cindy has put together a blend of Red Raspberry Leaf, Motherwort Leaf, Blue Cohosh, Catnip Leaf, Cramp Bark, Stevia Leaf and Citrus Peel.
The nutrients found in Red Raspberry Leaf can especially help with a healthy and effectively functioning uterus. It provides almost all of the nutrients needed for uterine health, which in turn will help with a healthy pregnancy.
Motherwort Leaf is especially helpful for treating irregular menstruation. It contains numerous plant-based compounds with antioxidant properties. Research also points to the fact Motherwort may reduce postpartum blood loss, alleviate anxiety, depression and inflammation.
Long used as a medicine in Native American tribes, Blue Cohosh is referred to as a uterine tonic – helping to improve muscle tone in the uterus. Blue Cohosh may help promote menstrual flow and stimulate circulation.
Belonging to the mint family, Catnip Leaf when used in tea can help to promote the evacuations of the placenta following childbirth, as well as having a calming effect on the body.
Native to Europe, Cramp Bark is made from the shrub's died bark and traditionally used to treat pain from muscle cramps, especially periods cramps. Cramp Bark may also promote health kidney function.
Whole Stevia Leaf is used to sweeten our teas, while being entirely calorie-free. Stevia has also been found to significantly lower insulin and glucose levels, and lowering LDL ("bad") cholesterol while increasing HDL ("good") cholesterol.
Citrus Peels are packed with immune boosting vitamin C, and anti-oxidant & anti-inflammatory bioflavonoids. They're also a source of potassium, which helps keep bloody pressure in check, and limonene, a phytochemical that may have anti-cancer effects and can help with heart burn.
