Tea of the Month: Vascular Toning Tea

APRIL TEA OF THE MONTH

All month long Vascular Toning tea is on sale! The idea for this tea blend came about through Cindy's own pregnancies. During her 2nd pregnancy she experienced some varicosities resulting mainly in swelling in her 3rd trimester. Her midwife told her to drink more herbal tea, almost daily she begun to drink a quart infusion of Red Raspberry leaf tea and a quart of Nettle leaf. Within a few days symptoms subsided.

During pregnancy the blood volume increases up to a whopping 50%, the increased blood volume can put stress on the vascular system as it has to work to support all the hard work the uterus is doing. B
y the end of pregnancy, a woman's uterus receives one-fifth of her pre-pregnancy blood supply. Women are at least twice as likely as men to develop varicose veins, but people of any age and race can be affected.

During Cindy's 3rd pregnancy while flying across country from the North East to San Francisco to visit family, she noticed slight swelling on the back of her leg. After consulting with her midwife, she began supplementing with Rutin, a bioflavonoid of Vitamin C that strengthens the blood vessels and improve circulation. In addition she developed an herbal tea formula safe for pregnancy that could be used in conjunction with the Rutin supplement. Varicose veins, spider veins and hemorrhoids is not something that just effects those expecting, nor just women exclusively - however, it is something that can continue long-term and even many years after birth. Varicosities are exceedingly common during pregnancy, 40% of women are affected. They most commonly appear on the lower legs, vulva and rectum. Due to hormonal changes that cause blood vessel walls to become delicate, along with pressure on the iliac venous due to the growing uterus. This unique herbal tea blend strengthens vascular system, improves tone and integrity.

This tea can be made hot or as a cold-brewed tea. It can be used after the 1st trimester.  For prevention we recommend drinking 3-5 cups a week. For relief of existing varicosities we recommend 2-4 cups a day. For those with hemorrhoids we suggest trying an Herbal Sitz Bath

"The tea tastes great and I don't have the bulging pain as much anymore! Thank you to my Midwife for recommending this!"

"This tea tastes great and it WORKS for hemorrhoids. Nobody likes to talk about the unfortunate postpartum struggle of hemorrhoids, but they happen, and I wish I had had this tea on hand right away. I struggled for days with every cream and remedy I could think of, but nothing worked. I bought this tea and in just a few days they were gone! Such a relief, thank you Euphoric Herbals!"

Vascular Toning Tea contains Nettle Leaf, Red Raspberry Leaf, White Oak Bark, Butchers Broom Root and Citrus Peel. It is safe for postpartum and breastfeeding.

Low impact exercises, like swimming, cycling or walking are ideal as they alleviate pressure for those with varicose veins.
